MY FAVOURITE MOVIES

(if you don’t know what to watch in the quarantine)

I´ve seen them all many times

· Grand Budapest Hotel: great aesthetics, humout, it’s just so wholesome I can’t

· The life of Pi: looking for god, so frikin beautiful, I actually laughed a lot

· Knives out: a new way to do a whodunit, aesthetic af, Chris Evans <3

· Lost in translation: I don’t usually like Sofia Coppola but this one was good

· Eat Pray Love: Rome, India and Bali, a lot of food, looking for god, one self and a lot of cool scereries

· Daydream nation: super emo movie

· Gone girl: #thecoolgirldialogue

· Highest offer: a little bit of mindfuck, cool aesthetics

· Twice born: love story during civil war in former Yugoslavia, kinda mindfuck too, love the aesthetics

· Kimi no na wa: my favourite anime movie

· The Lion King 3: i just love this movie ok? hakuna matata

· El cuerpo (The Body 2012)/ Contratiempo (The invisible guest 2016)/ Durante la tormenta (Mirage 2018): Oriol Paulo is totally one of my favourite directors. You always think you know what is happening but you don’t. It’s kinda dark but not too much. The last two are on Netflix.

· La cara oculta (The hidden face): quite similar to the previous ones

· 3 bodas demás (Three many weddings): yes, I’m a spanish movies fan. This is my favourite comedy

· The Bridget Jones Diary: classic

· Crazy stupid love: if you’re looking for some romantic comedy

· Stuck in love: another one, I love the main female character

· basically all Marvel movies: just give it a try

· Harry Potter <3

The Light Between Oceans

Let’s now talk about The Light Between Oceans (2016).

The movie was released in Venice (my hometown) during the Venice Film Festival and it was an absolutely success.

This movie is about love, of course and big big big dramas…I don’t want to spoiler too much eheh.

So Tom (Fassbender) works as a lightkeeper in a isolated isle with his wife Isabel (Alicia). 

Things get hard when Isabel loses two pregnancies; the couple is frustrated and depressed until a newborn baby girl comes into their lives.

Since then the family have to face with reality, truth and justice…can love overcome any obstacle ?.

I like this movie because Michael is the main actor of course, and his eyes, his handsome voice and…oh I should stop. I’m sorry.

The movie is absolutely well directed, the scenes and the setting are amazing.

But you must know...that................You’ll cry a lot. 

Sometimes you will even hate them.

And then you’ll cry again.

I guess this quote sums up perfectly the movie: 

“You only have to forgive once. To resent, you have to do it all day, every day. You have to keep remembering all the bad things”.
