One of the weirdest things about moving into a new house is finding little signs of people who lived there beforehand. In my room I found an area where someone wrote their name on the wall, and ig a friend or a sibling went in and wrote theirs too, and there's a third thing written messier that the second name is a dick. It's odd getting these little glimpses into someone else's life.

This room feels very well loved. The area with the names is a storage area behind a door in the closet I have to get on hands and knees to get into. I have to wonder if that was a fort, or a hideaway, for someone. If they read books in there or went in there to do schoolwork or just get away from people. It's..an odd feeling. Like this room is mine now but it wasn't always and the last person seems to have loved it enough to write their name on it.

I considered putting mine up too but that felt wrong somehow. This isn't really my home, I'm an adult and idk if I'd read or write in that space or sit in there when I need to be away from people. I don't know how long I plan on remaining living with my family at all honestly.

Idk, this still feels like it's more that person's room than mine in some ways. I hope they're doing well. I hope they made up with the person who was a dick and wrote their name in another person's space.
