On the road again! I’ve been in temporary accommodation for the last 3 weeks, however from Monday I’ll be in my permanent flat. One of the most exciting things is one of my besties @louisedawn2807 will be my neighbour again! We grew up in the same street so it will be like old times, looking forward to takeaways and wine in our PJ’s and watching all our fave movies. And of course my other bestie @jen_twyman_ and the fabulous @mum.of.sophie are super close by too. It’s been a long road to get here and there’s been a few setbacks but getting this flat couldn’t have been better for me and I can’t wait to move in and get settled. I’ve got some volunteers who are helping me paint tomorrow (the Gaviscon pink kitchen HAS to go!) and move my stuff in on Monday so I’m sure I’ll be posting progress pictures soon. It’s chucking it down with rain which is probably a good thing as I need to concentrate on packing and not get distracted by the wildlife. A fox moseying in the grass in front of the house looking for snacks in front of the house - such a treat to see. Today a peregrine landed on the roof for a moment and as usual there are a plethora of birds dropping in all through the day. This will be hard to let go. A delightful treat yesterday - having afternoon tea with a neighbour who baked a gluten free cake especially for my visit. One of the most delicious I’ve tasted. I’m definitely going to miss that. I still have a major problem letting go of books. Three days so far packing an amazing collection of art, design, history and various miscellaneous books on a variety of obscure and random topics. Books I have yet to enjoy perusing so they all have to be kept. Time to give up my favorite pjs😢 I have had this pjs for at least 2 years. I use to wear it at waist level and I have to admit it was alittle binding at my heaviest. Now it sits at my hips and I have to keep hiking it up. Sad to give up my faves but it's time. It's like saying goodbye to an old friend, closing a door 😟 for a new hello 🙂🤗 . Time to move forward and that's a good thing cos we often won't move unless circumstances force us to. . . I really really missed my ability to hate persons and things beside me, even if they think they don't deserve it. I was probably too busy hating myself (not that I don't deserve it) to express my disappointment about their existence. Next step: find the courage to say all that I think in front of those fuckers.
