When did Der einfache Weg come into existence?

According to my (brief, ~15 minute) research it was not originally part of the show, back in 1999. I found a source that said it was added for the 2015 revival. But it was already in the Hungarian version in 2003 (Az egyszerű út), so it was made between 1999-2003.

Is it a case similar to Kein Kommen ohne Gehen from Elisabeth, that it was written first for another language version(s) and later put into the German show as well?
