Later in the day to reach a wider audience I would speak via telephone to Michael Mozingo. He hosts a syndicated radio show which airs from 3 to 7 pm on KDES-fm 98.5 the bull in the Palm Springs area.
Mozingo: Welcome back. On the phone with me right now is Phil Cole of Phillip and Cole’s Variety Team. He’s got a lot of announcements for us and just a few minutes to talk, so get right at it.
PBC: Howdy folks, I want to invite you all to our special next Friday night on CMT. It’s called Kenny Rogers: America’s country Gentleman.
Mozingo: You’ve got a movie coming out too, right?
PBC: October 11, Attack of the flying Oysters. It’s a love story.
Mozingo: Ha ha ha and an album.
PBC: Same day, Hank Williams III did the singing and composing, but if you listen close you can find my voice in the backups and choruses.
Mozingo: What’s it called?
PBC: Attack of the flying Oysters Soundtrack, but there are great songs like Last call for Love and I Love you better than Beer.
Mozingo: Ha ha ha ha ha are you singing to the oysters?
PBC: Only one song.
Mozingo: Ha ha ha ha ha!
PBC: I mean it ha ha. It’s called Grow, grow, grow my Garden, and it plays while the scientist is feeding the oysters.
Mozingo: Really?
PBC: Yes, the rest are basic love songs mostly, plus 2 of them are sung my Amber Riley. They’re not country songs but Hank and I wrote them together.
Mozingo: Well I can’t wait for the Kenny Rogers tribute next Friday.
PBC: Watch the movie too. You’ll love it!
Mozingo: I hope so, best of luck. Thanks for calling in.
