Mausoleum of Emperor Nintoku
Daisen Kofun is the tomb of the Emperor Nintoku.
Japan's largest keyhole-shaped tomb, measuring 486m in length, this tumulus is encircled by a sightseeing walkway that takes an hour to walk around.
You can’t get across the moat as all of the Mozu Tombs are protected and on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
It was drizzling slightly and deserted in Sakai today, which created a suitably eerie atmosphere. The tomb is to the left across the moat.
