heart to heart;
@mp-jinseok
It felt like it had been forever since Diana had had a moment to write, and it was beyond frustrating to her. So, given that she had the day off, she decided that today was the day that she would get some writing done. She had told Hwiyoung she was working and had risked turning off her phone, just in case he decided to check in. She just wanted a little bit of peace. She just wanted to write. It used to make her happy, and she just wanted to feel that for a moment.
But she had been sitting at her kitchen table, staring at her notebook for the past two hours, and she had barely written a word. A few scant notes lined the margins of the page, but nothing real. She was just coming up blank. It was like someone had flipped a switch on her creativity, had just completely turned it off. She sighed, resting her head on her folded arms and closing her eyes.
Then someone knocked on the door. She jolted upright, her eyes wide and her heart hammering. But it couldn’t be Hwiyoung--it would have been pounding if it were him, surely. She took a deep breath and stood on shaky legs, grabbing a hoodie from her couch before she made her way to the door. It was warm in her apartment, but she tugged the sweater on anyway to cover the discoloured splotches on her arms and shoulders.
“Oh, Jinseok,” she breathed when she opened the door, pleasantly surprised and relieved to see her cousin. “I wasn’t expecting you. Do you need something?”
