⋆˚꩜｡ he wakes up almost every night screaming because he has nightmares about being a hollowgast again and accidentally hurting his friends
⋆˚꩜｡ he struggles with pains in his body that he can't get rid of after turning into a hollow in the library of souls
⋆˚꩜｡ he's insecure because his face and body is covered in scars. even if he knows he has no reason to feel icky about it—about how the other perceive him—, he still can't help it + he has bruises all over him that never seem to fade completely
⋆˚꩜｡ he definitely has some hollow characteristics now: his blood is darker, his scent changed. even if he tries his best to hide it, that hunger is still present. it's not constant, yet it makes itself present from time to time
⋆˚꩜｡ despite how happy he is living in the loop, he still gets a bit homesick every now and then—he misses ricky the most
⋆˚꩜｡ he gets closer to fiona. the bond was already there, but after all the physical pain they went through? they understand each other in ways the others didn't
⋆˚꩜｡ he eventually gets a hundred percent over emma and finds the courage to ask more about abe. after all, she is, perhaps, the only one who truly knew him
⋆˚꩜｡ he talks alone because he doesn't want to bother the others with his feelings—millard once found jacob in a deep talk with himself and made a mental note to his invisible self to not walk into his room naked
⋆˚꩜｡ knowing a bit more about his ancestors and his connection to the hollowgasts heal something in him
⋆˚꩜｡ she has nightmares and accidentally burns her bed while she sleeps. she doesn't tell anyone about it because she fears the solutions—fears having to sleep in a metal cot again, even if she knows miss p would never even consider such option
⋆˚꩜｡ all of her letters from abe disappear thanks to the loop's date changing. at first, she feels like her world crumbles, though she later starts realizing it was better that way
⋆˚꩜｡ her friendship with jacob gets better and easier as they both get over each other + they comfort each other when they miss abe, sharing memories they have of him
⋆˚꩜｡ her love for photography grows and she takes pictures of everything she can
⋆˚꩜｡ she makes a photo album and has a section designated for each kid + adds pictures of things that reminds her of them (flowers in fiona's section, pigs in millard's, things like that)

⋆˚꩜｡ she has always been the closest to miss peregrine and she now tries helping the ymbryne out with anything she possibly can
⋆˚꩜｡ deep down, she's terrified of anything bad happening to miss peregrine again and wants to take care of her, too
⋆˚꩜｡ gets a diary and stops reserving everything to herself in fear of exploding
⋆˚꩜｡ she tries miss peregrine's pipe just to see if it would calm her down and regrets it—she hates the taste and the feeling of smoke in her lungs, despite fire being her peculiarity—

⋆˚꩜｡ it takes her a long time to get used to the peaceful peculiar world
⋆˚꩜｡ she’s very anxious and on edge; she still can’t believe she gets to live in tranquility after everything that happened

⋆˚꩜｡ thought she was going to get away from being in a classroom and was a bit disappointed when miss peregrine started giving lessons again—the feeling washes away as she starts learning just how different normal classes are to peculiar ones
⋆˚꩜｡ she's amazed at fiona's control over nature and sticks close to her, especially because they weren't properly introduced and wants to know her better
⋆˚꩜｡ starts interacting more with emma because a) she wants to get along with everyone at the house and b) because she thinks the spark is cool and doesn't want her relationship with jacob to get in the way of a friendship with emma
⋆˚꩜｡ sometimes leaves the loop to call lily and talk to her. she trusts the blind girl enough to tell her almost everything that happens on her life + they talk a lot about jake and millard
⋆˚꩜｡ ymbrynes usually don't sleep, but after everything that happened? miss p barely steps foot in her room anymore
⋆˚꩜｡ she tries her best to give her wards more freedom—to understand she can't treat them like she used to—but it's still pretty hard for her, especially when they faced such dangers all alone
⋆˚꩜｡ seeing how the kids act more mature makes her a bit emotional and she tries her best to hide it
⋆˚꩜｡ they also make her stress out because they became the most anxious and desperate human beings ever—they act like they'll die if they don't get out of the house, something she isn't used to
⋆˚꩜｡ finds new ways to entertain her wards
⋆˚꩜｡ she's very busy with the ymbryne academy but she somehow manages to still have a good amount of time for her wards
⋆˚꩜｡ convinces the ymbrynes to teach the difference between male and female birds to their children
⋆˚꩜｡ starts smoking more to a point where emma sometimes denies helping her light her pipe
⋆˚꩜｡ spends the first days awake, too scared to face whatever horrible dreams he might have
⋆˚꩜｡ drinks an unhealthy amount of coffee throughout the day
⋆˚꩜｡ spends every second he has knitting and makes everyone sweaters—itchy ones—, scarfs, and gloves
⋆˚꩜｡ becomes the house therapist and quickly regrets it yet says nothing—despite how exhaustive listening to the others' problems can be, he enjoys being relied on
⋆˚꩜｡ bakes. a lot + starts teaching the others how to make all sort of pastries
⋆˚꩜｡ when he eventually starts sleeping again, he begs miss p to let him temporally sleep with someone—which ends up being with enoch—because he's scared of being alone at night
⋆˚꩜｡ whines about his lost research for weekss
⋆˚꩜｡ eventually gets over his drama and re-starts his research but still complains about literally everything
⋆˚꩜｡ writes down every little thing that happened during their time away from cairnholm
⋆˚꩜｡ likes to travel to other loops and write about life there
⋆˚꩜｡ she has a lot of nightmares thanks to being kidnapped by the wights
⋆˚꩜｡ there are days where she can barely get out of bed because of how badly her body aches after surviving the fall + she sometimes can't stop shaking, which makes some tasks hard to do
⋆˚꩜｡ her flowers bloom a bit crooked/not so pretty when she's in pain, which is almost 24/7, and she can't help but feel bad about it
⋆˚꩜｡ she gets nervous when her crops don't grow well and also gets scared miss peregrine will scold her for it + it brings back memories from the famine and triggers her ptsd
⋆˚꩜｡ she struggles with eating hot meals because of her unhealed tongue wound
⋆˚꩜｡ tries to isolates herself because she doesn't want to be seen as vulnerable. obviously, the others doesn't let her do so
⋆˚꩜｡ when she's not with hugh, she's with jacob—she loves showing him her chickens because he's scared of them and tries convince him that they won't harm him
⋆˚꩜｡ decorates every inch of the house with all types of flowers and plants, and even does so inside—the kitchen, the rooms—, to make the place look as cozy as it used to be in september 3rd
