Recognition | Hongbin & Hana

It was that time again: Hongbin’s turn to buy donuts and coffee for the precinct. Despite the fact that all the police force were incredibly fit and apparently at least partially divine, the lure of the stereotypical pastries could not be resisted. Of course, Hongbin did not mind making the run for sweets one bit; busy as he was, he usually was not one of the people doing out into the field, and he had great respect for those that did.

So as he entered the bakery, the air warm and full of sweet smells, it was with his usual sunny smile. He took out his phone to glance over the list he’d been given, approaching the counter and looking at the display treats curiously. “Um, excuse me,” he glanced up at the woman behind the counter, but paused when he saw her. She looked familiar, but it took a moment to place her.

“Oh! Hi Hana! How are you?” He asked cheerfully, his already bright expression lighting up even more. He had barely seen Hana since the Hallow’s Eve Ball, and had yet to get a chance to talk to her, at that. “I didn’t know you work here~”

Heads Up

It’s been a couple of days since his return. He’s already spent quite a big part of it resting, which is more than he probably would have done at any other point in his life. Which is consequently also the reason why he is more than bored out of his mind by now. And that, in its turn, is why he decides to leave his apartment again to get some fresh air. But he’s not up for a walk, because he’s done nothing but that in the past couple of days and he misses the feeling of stretching his wings.

Which is why he opens the window instead, rolls his shoulders a little to verify he’s not as hurt anymore as he used to be and then spontaneously launches himself out of the window. If anyone looked up they’d probably be startled by the man just jumping out of his window, but he hasn’t even fallen two storeys down when he shifts, spreading his wings in a quick stretch to catch the wind and-

It hurts. It fucking hurts. He automatically curls together at the sudden overwhelming pain, closing his eyes as the white hot pain flashes through him. When he manages to open them again, he realises he’s going down at an insane speed, nearing the ground a little too fast for his liking. Instantly he spreads his wings again, beating them as good as he can to stop his descent to the best of his ability.

But it still hurts and he temporarily loses focus again because of the overwhelming pain in his joints and chest. Clearly flying is currently a really bad idea, that or it just hurts more because he hasn’t done it in several days. He’s hardly moved in several days, really. At least not his arms. He lets out a distressed shriek, but it’s already too late because the next moment he collides full raven body with someone’s face.

The collision is so heavy that he kind of sticks to the face for a moment long before he slids off and falls down to the ground. He bounces off of the person’s feet to the actual street, where he just lies completely still for a moment, too stunned and hurt in that particular moment to move just yet.

Why is the rum always gone? | Minho&Hana

halloween madness with @mpxhana

What’s the best thing about being dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow for Halloween? Minho was whistling to himself as he sauntered into the Hallow’s Eve ball hosted by the council. Aside from the fact that his pirate’s costume was barely passable as Sparrow’s (the mustache was as fake as they come), Minho thought he looked pretty good all things considered. He got the swagger down for sure, swaying to and fro haphazardly around party goers but careful not to actuall hurt anybody.

The best thing about dressing up as Jack for Halloween? 

“Booze~” He crooned, brandishing “his props”, a large bottle of Captain Morgan rum and taking a swig. Most people would have gone without the actual rum, but Minho was all about authencity.

“Hana, hana!” He hollered appearing like a cloud of smoke behind the baker dressed as Moana. She looked good, and Minho ignored the hint of the sea that threatened to make him run for the hills.

“Treat or treat?” He chirped, brandishing the rather large plastic container filled to the brim with his own special brew of vodka gummy bears. He had taken a few already on the way over and he had to go back to his apartment to refill the tub, hence why he arrived a little late.

Which was fine by him, seeing as how the party was just starting to get into full swing. “Danced with anybody yet?” He asked as he popped a gummy bear in his mouth and washed it down with some rum. Was he drunk? Or pretending to be drunk? That was the question.

Flix No Chill- ‘Kota//Hana

  “Mmm,” he says and runs the tips of his fingers over his lower lip as he thinks on her question. Recent classic movies. That was a bit tough since he always thought of classics as nothing recent really. Lots of movies were considered classics now, but he finds it hard to drum up recent movies that can be called classics that aren’t older than both of them.

  But he’s up for the challenge!

  “How recent we talkin’?” he asks as he takes out his smartphone and opens the Netflix app. “Early 90s? 2000s? Older?”

  He scrolls as he asks, eyes passing over title after title and dismissing most of them instantly. Nothing scary, or overly romantic. He pauses for a second, hand that isn’t holding his phone patting his jacket pockets as he looks for something. He doesn’t seem to find it- whatever it is- and he huffs slightly before he’s scrolling again.

  “You like action or nah?” he asks her then, peering harder at his screen, hair falling a bit in his way. Absently he pushes it with his free hand, fingers sliding by his left ear where he feels the slender cigarette that he rolled two hours ago and forgot.

  “Mm!” It’s just a noise of recognition as he draws it from where it is tucked away. He brings it to his lips but doesn’t make any move to light it. Or even to look for a lighter at all. It’s more of a thing to help him think and slide his thumb along the screen of his phone without trailing off like he normally does.

  He speaks around it to her, even as he isn’t looking at her, “Who ya watching it with? The recent-classic flick I mean.”

Come Dine with Me⌖ Maxx and Hana

Taehyun looked over at Hana, he saw Jazmin in her in so many ways, and that was both a problem and a blessing. A blessing because Taehyun could see Jaz in the girl and it reminded him of all the good times he’d had with the girl he’d vowed to protect. But a curse because she also reminded him of the huge hole in his heart that belonged to his family that he’d lost. The last time he’d seen his sister was after she’d passed on. 

He’d called out for her, tried to summon her to him and she’d come, only for him to push her away. He needed to control his power and maybe he could see her again. Maybe he could stop the fainting, maybe he could do something to change everything. He smiled at Hana as he chopped up the carrots. “You should come to the rink sometime, I can teach you to skate.” He had always loved skating with others, helping them learn especially now he wasn’t able to do it. 

He was wearing basketball shorts and his hoodie from Team Canada, from his Olympic games, both of them red and white with the maple leaf on, the jacket said Ice Hockey, Noh on the back and both at #82 on them. His knee was in a knee support and was visible. He didn’t mind her seeing the support on his knee. He had told her about his injury the hit he’d received on the ice which had ended his career and made his knee hurt sometimes. 

“I can sort it out so it’s just us if you are worried about falling and someone skating into you, although I can assure that that had never happened.” He smiled as he continued with the food preparations. He was feeling a little out of it recently, he’d found out that his ex had been injured and it hurt to know he wasn’t there. But Taehyun had found out that love was in the end just a lie to one person. He’d lost his family and his career and his boyfriend had left because he was too much and the old Taehyun had gone. 

But that didn’t stop him still caring a little for the man who’d spent so much time with him despite the amount of secrecy in their relationship. He’d not really disclosed anything about his ex to Hana. He hadn’t told her about anyone he had been with, although there weren’t many people he was romantic with, even in the past. He didn’t really know how to talk about love, because he guessed in a way he felt like her big brother who wanted the best for her and his views on love weren’t exactly the best for her. 

“Please tell me why I got a visit~ I thought I was going to have to come find you.” He teased a little. “Are you in trouble?” big-brother mode activated. He trusted she could probably take care of herself but he didn’t want to take that risk.

late-night baking

it’s been around thirty minutes since the bakery closed. even though the bakery stopped making goods for the day, jennie has been doing some of her own baking. she decided to make some dark chocolate brownies, one of her favorite snacks. a fragrant aroma fills the kitchen as her brownies continue to bake in the oven. the demigoddess hears the doors to the kitchen open. turning around, she bluntly remarks, “oh, it’s you.” of course, she didn’t expect anyone threatening to be behind that door, but she always likes to be wary of her surroundings. jennie stares at hana for a moment. they both should have gone home, but the bakery is sometimes more relaxing. there’s nothing better than late-night baking.

Recipe for Success | Hana&Minho

Minho hummed to himself as he carried new delivery of ingredients in through the back door of the Black Forest Bakery. Baking had been something he had picked up from one of his aunts, during the first time he and his mom stayed over Sol-nal. The Choi family was an eclectic mix of traditional and non-traditional, that baked sweet goods was always present in any occasion. He had never considered it as a profession until he came to Mount Phoenix and the job seemed easy enough.

Plus, Minho smiled to himself as he saw that the lights in the pastry kitchen was on. He really did have one of the prettiest coworkers. They’d be working together for the past couple of weeks now, but so far, he didn’t know anything about her except her name and that she made some of the best desserts in the bakery.

“Hey Hana,” He greeted as cheerfully as always, arms hardly straining as he brought in the box of semi-sweet chocolate chips. “Delivery’s here. I’mma unload more of the stuff, okay? How are you on this fine morning? Do we have the list to make today? Did you know you’re the cutest girl I’ve seen dusted with flour?” He said all of this with a straight, albeit smiling face, knowing that Hana was good-natured enough not to get annoyed with him.

“Huh?” he was lost in his thoughts, his eyes fixed on his phone as his legs - though still long and with somewhat graceful movements - were pacing a trail through his living room, “Right. Sorry about that. I know that I invited you over for dinner, but things need to be dealt with at work and just–”

He groaned, shaking his head, “People are useless.”
