I’ve decided to try and draw more of the lodgers because I like them
For @carol-molliniere I kinda had to paraphrase his outfit a little since we only 👀 his torso, its my first time drawing him so I hope you like it
the rumor come out: does lodgers is gay?
and i was so caught up in the euphoria of griffin and archer finally interacting on today's page that for a moment i lived in a world where the context wasn't there--
Day 3: Headcanons - Mango Debates in the Society for Arcane Sciences??? NO WAY!!!!!!!
this is a bit of a silly one, plus i kinda rushed it cause i wanted to get it out before i went to sleep tonight. but i decided to at least color the parts of it that mattered for the art lol
basically, i have the hc that archer is half-filipino and his family migrated to england when he was younger; that plus the fact that he's a Plant Nerd(tm) makes me think that he's absolutely a fan of Philippine mangoes (which Wikipedia refers to as the "Carabao" variety, inch resting 🤔)
now helsby is Indian coded? there's no direct confirmation but his first name Ranjit and his connection to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne implies this to me; now he seems like the type to like the Indian mango varieties, and also defend them to archer who thinks the Philippine mangoes are the Greatest Mango Variety To Exist, Ever.
personally, I agree with Archer; Indian mangoes are available in both my local supermarkets and wet markets, but I've always disliked them! especially since my mom and brother tend to prefer them unripe with my mother eating them with bagoong paste and my brother eating them with salt, and they're trying to get me to eat them even though I dislike the taste.
that's just me though! archer and helsby have their reasons for their differing opinions on mangoes, and the lodgers like to listen to them debate. i don't think griffin has had a mango ever so he thinks the whole debate is stupid.
congrats on the new pfp! may i have your thoughts on arffin (for the ship meme)
heheh thank you. i love the ceo of geo, and this picture has a bird there too
ah, tgs archer/griffin, the og OTP i had for the glass scientists... it's fitting that they hit a bingo here! they're so Cool to me and full of potential. i just personally feel it's a shame that i'll probably only see more lodger-centric stories in bonus stories within the physical copies of tgs - i don't even have any money.
but eh, i'm tired of the Discourse i used to provoke over whether the lodgers should be fleshed out more in the main comic or not. how i've made a fool of myself on the internet, when no one even knows or cares about who the lodgers are anymore.
arffin for ship bingo :3c
fuck this is an old ask but it haunted me. found the blank ship bingo in my folders and worked on it for like five minutes despite procrastinating for months
I May Be Unwell <3
(i say archer/griffin is "missing that special something" because that special something is specifically "more insight into their personalities" or even "more appearances". i don't think archer has actually said anything on his own since like chapter 2. or chapter 7 if you're counting flashbacks? plus with griffin i'm usually working off of his novel counterpart from HG Wells's The Invisible Man. i'd like to see more of these two in the comic basically.
but i don't like need them to be canon within the comic timeline, that would make me insane. god bless)
random miraculous + tgs au drawings that i made the past week - there's hyde as the bee miraculous holder and archer doing an impossible transformation pose
