Kurasu Theory-The Gimmick

Howdy all! Hope your doing well, and aren’t ya know hypothetically admitted to a hospital against your will and have nothing to do but theorize about Pokémon

*cough cough*

Anyhoo since I’m waiting to get discharged I wanna finish up the last bit of build up before things start getting bananas tomorrow

Now to discuss the Gimmick

Now we don’t know its name yet or what it apparently does but we have the symbol which is neat and from the Tera Leak it *might* have a transformation like effect like Mega Evolution, Gigantinax, or Terastalization

Now there was a rumor last year that there would be sub-legendary pokemon that would bestow upon your pokemon a pack/convenant

This is back when it was being rumored to be called “Majin”

Now if that sounds familiar it’s because of

Majin Buu from dragon ball but it’s actual definition is Demon or Magic Person

But the gimmick is connected to the weather and apparently we’ll have weather institute we will visit to either change our Pokémon’s weather gimmick or get new ones

So that’s interesting but apparently The Winds Legendary & The Waves Legendary are connected to the gimmick of the game unlike the past few generations

But and this is a BIG potential spoiler they can apparently either shapeshift or appear as other pokemon because they are apparently

Mr.Windychu (in Pokémon Winds) & Ms.Wavychu (In Pokemon Waves)

Which if true…..I’m gonna be kinda bummed because I want them on my team! I don’t care if they are just regular Pikachu they have style!

But it would make sense since in the Tera leak Pikachu was used to show off the gimmick

And the final thing to discuss is the rumored Seed Pokemon (played in this post by The Dragon Quest Slime)

Now apparently we would receive it in the beginning of our journey like Koraidon/Miraidon from SV

And our actions throughout the game would effect how it would evolve apparently it was meant to have a procedurally generated evolution and act as the third legendary of the box art trio

But I’m pretty sure that part about its evolution isn’t gonna happen

But apparently it’s typing will not be set in stone so that would be insane

So we all agree that Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu are references to Flying Pikachu and Surfing Pikachu from Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu, and the TCG right?

And we all agree that the boards the player characters are holding are hoverboards and surfboards for travelling through the air and across the water respectively right?

But what I wanna know is if Pokémon Winds is gonna have you exploring an island archipelago by air like Latios and Latias's role in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire while Pokémon Waves has you exploring that same archipelago by sea in a "7.8/10 too much water" fashion... 👀

With the reveal of Mr. Windychu & Ms. Wavychu in the Pokemon WiWa announcement trailer and multiple people immediately thinking of the menace himself, Prof Nut, after seeing Windychu

Heres your formal reminder that in the SuMo DEMO Kukui has a Pikachu that he lends to Sun to complete the Demo's Trial
