"Shanks vs. the Buggy Pirates"

Shanks shows up to the Cross Guild office thinking he's going to have a talk. You know, clear the air. Maybe even say something meaningful.

Unfortunately for him, he forgets one very important detail:

The Buggy Pirates are loyal, unhinged, and emotionally devastating when mildly provoked.

💥 They roast a Yonko without lifting a finger.

🎭 Buggy accidentally breaks hearts just by being himself.

🧤 A pair of gloves gets taken off and suddenly everyone is crying.

🥹 Trauma? Love? Pirate family values?? In this economy??

Also Buggy’s crew: loves him more than life itself.

Sharp, sweet, chaotic, and a little sad around the edges. It’s found family but make it clown-coded.💔🎪

So i was rewatching opla s2 for reasons and the scene in s2e5 where Galdino calls Marianne "pet".... definitely didnt do anything weird to my brain, of course not

the Brazilian portuguese version makes it even worse (its an expression of endearment that only exists in our language and is hard to translate, typically used in close relationships) . Francisco Bretas when i catch you.

After marineford there's a quickly spreading rumor amoung the Buggy pirates that Mr.3 & Buggy are together now, but that's simply not true. Yes they're both gay and yes they both get along surprisingly well,but it's actually because of trauma bonding from their Impel down experience that makes them practically glued to each other. They even share the bed in Buggy's captains room out of habit. Any questions about whether or not they fuck will cause them to laugh until they can't breathe.
