“New Dawn Rising”

Mild and possible spoilers below (just in case). Checking out the demo before reading below is highly recommended.

Wanted to depict the avenging brother’s during the war for Seinan, standing as the new Sun king, along with the Sun’s shadow, respectively.

Hopefully conveyed Julius’s part here well enough as I was not sure how to include him without detracting from the other two.

Along with composition, there was some resolution issues but overall I’m glad with the final results.

Currently working on one for the Saintess.

Well it’s been a hot minute, lol. Had finally got to playing the Full release of “A Mage Reborn: Book One” by @mage-parivir and gotta say,

Still worthy of a *Chef’s kiss.

So much so I got into a concept groove for my MC Robin Burhalle. Changed a few things here and there from the Original Designs but overall pleased with the results.

And it will be tempting, sometimes. I know it. We’ve all had the temptation - to just let nature take its course. Let the wolves feed.”

Wanted to try and draw some armor for my Wolf! Commander Rollo, which eventually led to trying making a battle scene. At the mention of a mural in the story, weeeellll...

“V-Vethna I can’t...” he says, giving a raspy response. The buildings, colors, and smells- everything felt too sharp, too foreign and familiar all at once.

“Just breathe De Payens, breathe” Vethna says. He’s practically clawing into their back, searching for purchase. Memories become waves crashing against the rocks of his mind; images of another life crashing against the present. Why was it so damn hard to exhale?!

“Everything is- he gasps, starting to feel the edges of his vision blur, sweat trailing his face.

Wings flap in the distance.

“Rollo, Vethna whispers softly, bringing him back to reality “breathe.”

They place their hand on his chest and all at once- the world steadies itself.

He feels their heartbeat as he presses against them, it’s rhythm becoming his rhythm, a wordless song with defenseless purpose.
