It’s been a while, eh? This is my first login after 4 years and I don’t know if Mrazians are still around on tumblr...

I’m sorry I hadn’t post anything in a very long time. To be honest, the reason is because I didn’t feel like doing this anymore... and I was sad that I couldn’t make it to his acoustic show for the YES! tour (which is something I really want to see ever since I started to like his music). It sounds silly I know but yeah... and umm... everything starts to fade away and of course I had so many things going on in my life these past years. 2018 was hard. But 2019 is starting so good so far. :)

Anyway, I got to see him performing in Singapore last year hehehe. The last time I saw him in concert it was in Kuala Lumpur back in 2012. AND I’m going to see him AGAIN this year in May at The Star Theatre Singapore. Yes. Theatre. This is special to me because other than an acoustic show, seeing him performing at a theatre is something that I’ve always want to see. And the time is finally here. :)

Everyone who knows me knows that I love Jason Mraz. My sister introduced me to him when I was 11 years old when she checked out his “Live at the Eagles Ballroom” album from the library, and would watch the live concert DVD in my mom & dad’s room with me. Ever since then, I’ve loved his music/personality/vibe/albums/beliefs and everything else under the sun that he’s created. I’m proud to call him my favorite artist, I’m proud to have been a fan of his for this long, and I’m happy my sister and I got to see him life in 2012 during his “Tour is a Four Letter Word” tour in Noblesville, IN. We knew every song and recognized them from the first few notes, danced with him & the crowd, cried (mostly just me tho), and had a great time. I’ve wanted this tattoo, which comes from that album cover, for about 5 years now, and finally I had the guts to get it with my best friends/sorority sisters today. The album came out right before my freshman year of college, when I was figuring myself out (which I still am), meeting the people I would call my best friends for the rest of my life m, and had moved away from home fo the very first time.

Jason Mraz’s music has always been my go-to since 11 and it still is at age 23. I am proud to be a fan of him and his band and his friends and will support him for life. This tattoo isn’t just for him but is also for me, for my friendship with my sister, for the friends I made when I was in college, and for the guy who made me experience love for the first time. All I can say is… thank you ☺️ #loveisafourletterword

Hello all!

This blog is for Mrazians who appreciate fan covers of Jason songs, as well as anybody insane enough to enjoy the music I play lmao.

One of the things I had in mind when making this a Mraz cover blog was the idea of it not being solely my covers, but that doesn’t mean I’m just going to post my covers as well as some cool covers I’ve found on YouTube (though I definitely will do the latter, just not to an enormous extent). What I want is for people to send messages to this blog with their own covers or their favorite ones, as well as for other Mrazians who routinely record their own covers to submit them. In fact I’d love it if somebody in that group was to join this blog as an administrator and contributor so that we can get a blog running to expose some of the outstandingly talented Jason Mraz fans out there. The ultimate goal would be for a community of Mrazians to be able to share not only their interpretations of Mraz songs, but also their own original music.

I hope you guys enjoy the covers to come and decide to join me in this escapade!

Our amazing videographer/photographer/superhero Jeff joined Jason on the road at the end of last week and this song is the first piece of content I asked him to capture. Tonight, I share it with you.

I try not to dwell on the negative because everyone has their own shit going on and I'm certainly not the first/only person to feel despondent or disheartened. These are weird, uncertain times. Life can be fucking hard.

Each night I send Jason setlist requests from fans and every single night, without fail, this one comes up. It’s funny how a song can reappear at just the right time... and with every person who requests this song at a show or shares their story in the comments or listens alone on repeat in their room -- I'm reminded that we are in this together. Everything will be fine.
