So if you follow my personal page on fb, there’s a decent chance you saw me tagged beaucoup times over this post. 400+ responses, 30+ shares, comments on comments on comments…. Not the first time. Hopefully not the last. There’s probably dozens if not hundreds of “Rat Race” working I could’ve been doing in my adult life. Could’ve done the 8-12 hours a day in an office cubicle, factory, or even stayed in the Army (The longer my hair gets, the further away from uncle Sam I am.) Probably could be financially comfortable from it by now too… But that’s not me. That’s not interacting with people who share loves I do - @saints football in this case - and figuring out a way to get paid from it. Having people react the same way you see me in this picture, knowing I provided a positive moment among a day of positive moments. When people stop me in February and remember me from this I do the previous July & August…. When people stop me and say they still have the _________ I signed some training camp ago & it’s a part of their Saints Memorabilia…. When people like @fletchermackel - who can get all the news coverage for @wdsu6 they need from the actual full athletes (I’m a has-been, kinda was 4 sport athlete) - takes a moment in multiple years to acknowledge the realness of those interactions with posts like this….
