My 1st Blog= Catastrophe

Alright, so this is my first blog and I really don’t know what you expect. But I will do my best to fit the requirements. I sound so serious..... lol. I hope you don't  mind but I'd rather have this be more fun and intriguing rather than a boring, required assignment. So here are the answers to your questions.

1. Lauryn Collins:13 yrs young  , Freshie, 5th year playing cello; piano & voice

2.  Literally like there wasn't a day I didn't practice.. (much exaggeration) but I practiced a lot. I also went to BLFAC this year so you know that was a lot of work .

3. I’m looking for a new experience. Something I can take with me and run with it. You know? Something that most orchestras don't have,,,

4. Mrs. Mayes  I just encourage you to have fun and enjoy the class as much as I do. It's more fun and exciting when the teacher is fun and exciting.😉

Blog #2: Help, I can't hit these notes!

Today, I felt like practicing some of the songs that we are doing for our concert, and I hit a great realization; my voice is really, really, really low. I mean, like I could be a bass-low. I practiced O Music, and I totally failed at some of the parts where the girls are supposed to sing a bit higher. Also, my voice gives out a bit at Green Sleeves, and gets really deep and embarrassing. The only song that really fits with my voice and flatters it(or so I think) is Hitori. That song really makes everyone’s voice sound beautiful. I bet you could have a 5 year-old sing it with piano accompaniment, and they would sound good. I just hope that through practice, my voice learns to cooperate with me and not give me such a hard time.
