1. What is the oldest thing you possess?
I'm not exactly sure if the question is what I have possessed for a long time or if I have any antique things. Well, if it's the first case, probably an old wood toy of mine that consists of pieces of wood that make a rooster if you put them together. As for old things, I have a copy of Schillers "Kabale und Liebe" from 1943 and old coins from 1879, 1900, 1907, 1917 and 1927, respectively (one of them's Canadian, one's from the German Reich and one's Palestinian).
2. If you could be the director of a film (any film you like) what would your dream-cast be to work with?
That's a really tough question in my opinion since I don't exactly know a lot of actors. Besides all they actors from my favourite shows (cough, Misha) I'd love Christoph Waltz (because I bet he'd be fun to work with), and Jared Leto (I don't know why he came to mind, but I think he's a good actor). Other than that I'd probably like my own little cast of cool, interesting and slighty odd people from real life, I've always liked that in movies.
3. What is your favourite quote?
Another really tough one and I'll probably want to kick myself in the face tomorrow because I'm going to be able to think of a thousand important quotes that are important to me after I'll finish this. In the mean time I'd say "I'm Rad I'm deaf I don't talk I'm fourteen I'm telling the story. And storytellers lie so why bother you ask", the first two sentences from War Boy by Kief Hillsbery because I love that book and could (and also have) read it again and again. Also "The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?" by Jeremy Bentham because I pretty much live by those words.
4. What was the first CD/LP/MC you bought?
The first CD I bought from my own money was probably The Poison by Bullet for my Valentine. I have mixed feelings about that.
5. If you were the ruler of your home country for a day and you could only change one thing, what would you do?
I'd reform the public education system in such a way that every child, no matter what background they are from, has true equal chances. I would stop all subsidies that go to the meat, dairy and egg industries and I would employ a nation-wide minimum wage.
6. What is your favourite kind of sweets?
Definitely chocolate. In every way, shape or form.
7. Do you have a philosophy you follow? If yes, tell us a bit about it.
You could say that I am a very pragmatic person, but I don't know if you could call that a philosophy, maybe that's just the way I am. Still, you could say that I follow a philosophy of nonviolence, of speaking my mind when necessary and one of living by my morals and values.
8. What was/is your least favourite subject in school?
If you had asked me this exact same question three years ago I definetely would have said math but to be honest it became increasingly interesting in the last two years. This is also kind of a hard question because I seem to have the ability to be excited about and intrigued by pretty much everything. That being said, it's really all about how interesting a teacher makes their class and how they convey their subject. I had a spectacularly terrible teacher in English, so I'll go with that. I also didn't like chemistry very much (I do find chemistry interesting though) and I don't think the last two years (or any year) of gym class were necessary, helpful, or fun, for that matter.
9. What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
What do you mean? An African or European swallow?
10. What was the last thing you laughed about so much that you had to sit down for a while? If you can’t remember, tell us a joke.
I'm such a lame person (don't tell anyone though), I actually can't remember. They only jokes I can come up with are German, lamer than myself and would sound horrible if translated. Oh well. What's the difference between a piano and a violin? The piano burns for a longer time. Ha.
