#ThePortal is now available on Apple Music/iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and more. Thank you all for helping me get it over 5k plays and 50 likes on SoundCloud. To celebrate, here are some #facts about it. 1. Despite the cover image resembling a hurricane, The Portal was actually released 2 days after the eclipse and before any of the bad storms of 2017. 2. The Portal can be seen as a coming of age song or the soundtrack for anyone who feels hated by their own community, country, or planet, or anybody wishing to get out of a bad situation, and can also be seen as a modern day protest song as a majority of people now wish they could escape this world and live in a world where they believe things would be more fair and none of these crazy things ever happened, and the lyric dreaming about "breaking down these bouldery boundaries.." is a direct reference to these divisive times and the walls placed between us as we become more divided. This line can also be seen as a reference to the wall Trump has promised to build. 3. My verses for The Portal were written in 1 night, recorded in 1 take, and have no adlibs. 4. The Portal was 100% written, recorded, produced, and made in Atlanta, GA. 5. The first line in my 1st verse is a reference to the @ins_tagrams line "I bomb atomically" but is talking about how we as mankind literally bomb ourselves and also how people "worship monopolies" or big companies like they are false idols, warning of materialism, which is a common theme in much of my music. I also reference Wu-Tang again in my 2nd verse, stating that these desperate times are the reason "why I'm quoting Wu-Tang raps.." and also the fact that the Wu-Tang was on a long hiatus at the time I wrote it, was also a way of me stating that they need to make a comeback, or that this type of hip hop needs to make a comeback. Coincidentally Wu-Tang released a new single with @redmangilla the same day I leaked "The Portal" ... #yourewelcome #realhiphop #MrSOS #wutang #itsabouttime #thecycle #startover
