Jethro Austin and Baltazar Leguizamon receiving championship awards at the FRP banquet - September 16, 2018.
Jethro Austin, mechanic for K-Hill Motorsports since 2013, kept the Formula Atlantic of Baltazar Leguizamon at the front week in and week out in 2018, en route to the 2018 FRP Mechanic of the Year, and the drivers title for Leguizamon.
Over the years Austin has worked on multiple types of formula cars, and helped many young drivers advance their careers.
K-Hill dominates the 2018 Atlantic Championship Series
With Leguizamon moving on to F3 Americas and Austin expected to remain with K-Hill, the question remains... who will Jethro Austin propel to a championship in 2019?
Our driver ran the oval at Lucas Oil Raceway today. Started out 4th in qualifying and finished 5th. Stayed out of two wrecks during the race and held off against a driver that kept jumping the green flag during restarts. Top 5 is really good for how close some of the field was running.
