Bandai Namco US Raises Tamagotchi Connection MSRP
Looks like the price of the Tamagotchi Connection is going up. Introduced with a $29.99 MSRP in 2024, and now up this year to $33.00. It looks like only the newest six shells that were just introduced have been impacted by the higher price. Luckily they tend to go on sale occasionally so you can still score one at a lower price.

Drabble Fic: The Key
A/N: Just got the keys to my new place recently, in between moving everything, and I wanted to write a fic. A bit rushed. No beta. Sorry for the typos. P.S. Smutlite...it turned out that way. Tagging @today-in-fic @improlificinsarcasm @baronessblixen
It was early morning before the sun decided to rise. Mulder called it the Witching Hour. It was the time of morning that held magic and promise that made all things possible. The window to their (yes theirs) new bedroom was open and cool October air flowed freely in. Scully snuggled closer next to Mulder, wrapping her leg around his waist and burying her face into his neck. Even under the worn blankets in the nest they had created. Bare skin inflamed against each other warmed them against the autumn air. “This smells like home,” Scully whispered.
“This is home,” he whispered. “Home is wherever you are, Scully. This just feels…”
“Home,” Scully laughed.
She bit the lobe of his ear gently. “Stop teasing.” He kissed her lovingly as a distraction. “This is our home. We have a house, Scully. Our house.”
“Let’s see it again.”
She protested briefly as Mulder twisted his lanky, lean body to grab something of their old oak nightstand from her old Georgetown apartment. Scully smiled into his shoulder, kissing it, as she heard the metallic scrapping the wood and he rotated his long arm held up an object.
“I can’t see it. Hold on.”
He grunted in amusement as Scully crawled across him to turn on the lamp. “Wait, Scully.”
“Wait.” She froze about to turn on the lamp. The feather-like kisses traced down her breastbone and swayed back and forth against the tickling sensation. “You’re horrible. I want to sleep before our next round.”
“I wasn’t complaining about the view but now I am.”
She returned to her position and whispered, “You’re horrible. Quit ruining the mood.”
Scully coiled around and nodded slightly. “Let’s see it, Mulder.”
He paused. “Wait, you’re talking about the key aren’t you?”
She bit his earlobe in warning sending all of his blood southwards. “Okay, okay. Message acknowledged. Later. Here.” He extended his arm and a worn bronze-colored key reflected in the low light. “The key.”
“To what,” Scully encouraged. Her hand traced his abdomen. “Home?”
“It reminds of your hair.”
“Mulder!”
“Okay, okay. Forgetting momentarily that we were on the run for the past three years…”
“Which I regret none of it.”
“And I am a wanted man…”
“I’ll protect you.”
“But you will have put up with my sorry ass…”
Scully giggled. “Ain’t nothing sorry about your ass and it’s mine. They can come and try to take you from me. I won’t let them.” She sighed. “This is our home.”
“Our unremarkable house in the middle of nowhere Virginia where we can be safe and have a life.”
“Where we can have a future.”
She took the key from him and examined it closely. Mulder sighed happily because he saw the young, green agent who he had fallen in love with as she questioned about the existence of aliens or alien abductions. “We have a future.”
He took the key away and dropped it back onto the nightstand. “We can unpack some more boxes, or, since it’s still early and quite chilly, spend some more time in bed.” He rolled her over and took his hands within his and arched it over her head. She bit her lip and moved like a cat against him approvingly. “I want to show you how much I love you, Scully. Seems like you approve.”
He smiled and kissed her. She sighed happily as his other free hand found its own way. “We had our post-coitus interruptus moment with the key. We have some more time before people we really have to get out of bed to finish the rest of unpacking our old stuff.”
“What do you say we get a newspaper and furniture pick those latest furniture ads?”
“Let’s see what we got first. Then...oh, Mulder, quit distracting me...then we can have breakfast in bed and pick new furniture.”
“Now?”
“I believe we have some more unpacking to do.”
“You’re horrible, Scully,” he laughed.
He kissed her and for once, felt truly felt free.
“Mulder, this is what I wanted in the simplest vision of our future. Let’s make it a reality. We...we, Mulder,” she stressed the word ‘we’, “have a future.”
“Let’s start here,” he whispered. “Let the beginning of all things be the phoenix?”
“Mulder,” she whispered, “and I haven’t said this in a while,” she wriggled slightly against him, “make love to me.”
He chuckled and obliged with her request. Somewhere in the distance, something was burning. The cool autumn air flowed through the unremarkable house tainted with the smell of woodsmoke, old furniture, and burning leaves. Against the early morning air, there was the promise of true love, passion, and promises for an unlimited future.

Has Tamagotchi On Price Changed?
It’s a question we’ve gotten recently, and Bandai has weighed in! Every month Bandai America runs a contest on their social media profiles that giveaway a Tamagotchi to one lucky participant. Bandai America has been giving out many Tamagotchi On devices through these contests, and for each contest they an official legal form that reviews all the terms and conditions.
In the April legal form for the contest outlining all the terms in conditions there was a mention of the MSRP, manufacturer suggested retail price of the Tamagotchi. Instead of it reading $59.99 it read $69.99, which had many fans thinking - did Bandai America raise the price? Further supporting everyone’s suspicion GameStop, a retailer in the United States has had the Tamagotchi On listed for $69.99.
So we reached out to Bandai America to see if the price has truly increased on the Tamagotchi On, or was this perhaps an error? Bandai America confirmed that the MSRP in the April legal form for the social media contest was incorrect, and the MSRP is still $59.99, they have since updated the form. Keep in mind retailers are able to set their own prices, and Bandai America only sets the MSRP, which is merely a recommendation.
Glad to hear that Bandai America has not raised the price, and we are also glad to see retailers running occasional sales which allow even more customers to get their hands on one!
