As a gentleman, it was just wrong to leave a lady standing by her lonesome. Seeing as he had some free time in between plans, he figured he might as well keep her some company and shoot his shot while he’s at it. It was Halloween, after all. He may have been dressed as the Boy Wonder, but he’d be her knight in shining armor if she found herself needing one.

Once he found himself standing before her, Kevin extended his hand out, palm facing upward for her convenient placement. 

“Would you care to join me on a carriage ride, Nezuko-chan?”

taejun has never been one to really indulge or explore the realm of romance when it comes to rumors or beliefs like zodiac signs and whatnot. it's not to say that he doesn't believe in it as he's aware he has many friends who know more about those topics than he ever will... it's simply that he doesn't understand it much and can't offer much when it comes to it. so he's simply watching as students filter in and out of the area to test their apple bobbing skills until he recognizes inori at one of the barrels by herself with the apple she had just bobbed in her hand.

it only takes a few strides for him to be by her side to congratulate her on successfully getting an apple. knowing the sweet suseong junior though, taejun is sure that she's a little more invested into the rumors of the charmed apples than the actual bobbing activity itself. he doesn't mean to pry either but thinks that she might enjoy the company while she waits for the peel to reveal its letter.

"inori, i see you were able to get a nice apple." taejun makes his presence known once he makes it to her side. she looks very cute in her chihiro costume and he considers asking her for advice the next time he's dressing up for a costume party. there's not necessarily anything wrong with his spiderman costume, but he knows there are a lot more creative ideas out there and inori would definitely be able to choose something a little more interesting than left spiderman.

"i heard about the rumors of the apple peels. are you here to test that rumor yourself?" taejun smiles cheerfully as he tilts his head towards the fruit in her hand. "any specific letter you're hoping for?"

༶ 🌱 ˟  ━━     xueyu is quite good with most scary things-- things such as blood or gore or psychological movies -- none of those really bother him. h o w e v e r... he never has been able to handle jumpscares. and honestly, he questions why he’s already let himself be dragged through the haunted house several times at this point. but, maybe it’s just because he has been enjoying himself the rest of the night. and besides, the person he’s with this time is someone he doesn’t feel exhausted around.

and so, he’s quite certain inori doesn’t mind when he lets out a high yelp, his hand squeezing hers almost too tight as something pops out in front of them-- again. “i hate this--” he whines, blowing his dark bangs out of his face as his shivers subside. at least his costume was easy to move in-- haku and chihiro -- it was a fitting look for them, he thinks. as an added bonus, the clothes were baggy and comfortable. he, however, was not comfortable in the slightest. but, at least he didn’t have to tire himself out, worrying about how he appeared in front of inori.

his breaths come in loud huffs as he tugs on her arm a little bit with a frown, “are we almost through yet-- kill me now.”

— lunch break

It wasn’t unusual to find Xavier in the hospital wing working and even less so to find him working during his lunch break. If he wasn’t attending to a patient then he was making sure the hospital wing was fully stocked to provide the best care possible and if he wasn’t doing that, then he was studying, books and notes spread out neatly in front of him in the little office, quill in hand.

Being a graduate student was difficult, but being a medical grad student was brutal. There were just so many things to memorise and learn. Not just the traditional medical knowledge but also the magical side of things, the Healer aspect of it all and trying integrate it all together. It was exhausting but oh so rewarding. Just the thought of being able to help people in the future was enough to keep him going.

Hearing his name being called out surprised him slightly making him look up from his textbook, pushing the wire framed glasses up his nose. Xavier smiled softly as he saw the intruder and waved her over to grab a seat at the table, moving his things to give her some space. “Inori-san, how are you? I haven’t seen you around today. But then again I’ve been mostly in the office studying— wait, what’s that smell? Did you bring... lunch?”
