growing up, hyewon had learned intimately what it felt like to be overlooked and left out. having a twin had been something that had shown her the duality of friendships. she was included while simultaneously overlooked, cast in the shadow of her more energetic, outgoing twin. even at hogwarts, it had very much been the case that people had seen her as an extension of her brother, rather than as herself. fairly early on in her hogwarts years, she had decided that she hated the feeling. so she began befriending the people who reminded her of her, lonely, overlooked, ostracized. anybody who looked like they needed a friend, she stepped forward to hold out a hand, fighting past her own introversion to try and make a difference in someone’s life.
that had continued into mokseong, though hyewon herself had changed — grown more confident in her own identity, less lost in the shadow of jaewon’s. she might not be completely sure of who she is, but she knows where she wants to go and what she wants to do. hyewon can sometimes get so caught up in taking care of others that her own needs are neglected, though.
she’s in the toseong common room with ( @msuorion ), her head throbbing, and she rubs at her temples absently as she pores through her book. she knows the senior prefect has a reputation for being a bit of an asshole (which might be an understatement), but hyewon knows that orion isn’t actually a bad person. now if only others could see that, too... she scrunches up her face as a throb of pain pulses through her head, shivering involuntarily at the sensation.
ugh. she’s been feeling off since late last night, the beginnings of a headache pulsing away behind her eyes and a vague sense of general discomfort encompassing her. but it’s only gotten worse since then, and she thinks she might have to give up sooner rather than later to go and lie down. she presses a knuckle into her temple again, making a soft little noise of discomfort involuntarily, having hoped not to disturb orion from his own tasks.
