throwback to 2013: we started our ascent of Mt Lafayette that morning along old bridle path. it was raining steadily through most of the hike and climb. by the time we reached the greenleaf hut, we were soaked to the bone, hungry, exhausted, and buzzing with that buzz you only get from climbing a mountain carrying everything on your back. after dinner, the sun came out just in time for the most amazing sunset i’ve ever seen.

Hiked the Franconia Notch Loop train up to Mt Lafayette (in the New Hampshire White Mountains) this weekend. Though it was an arduous 8 mile journey that took 7 hours, the views were worth it.
