I’ve heard a rumour that Kepler has some of the best french onion soup around, is this rumour correct? I’m a bit of a foodie and would love to make a trip out to Kepler to try the soup and see the gorgeous town!
The rumors are true. If you stop in town be sure to go to the Mt. Kepler Ski Lodge and try their internationally renowned French onion soup!
I'm supposed to be traveling through West Virginia this June, and my path is going to take me near Kepler. Is there anything to do in the summertime, or is it all just skiing and trees?
There’s plenty to do during Kepler’s Summers! The you can explore the beautiful Monongahela forest, check out the views from Mt. Kepler, have some wet fun at one of our many water parks(Kepler is the Water Park capitol of the US!), or get spooky at the Cryptonomica. Kepler is a great place to be year round!

There’s so much to do! I can’t speak for everyone in the department, but I love to hit the slopes in Mt. Kepler in the winter, splash around at all the water parks in the summer, and tune into the Cryptonomica’s Saturday Night Dead year round!

If you’re into skiing or snow-boarding Mt. Kepler Ski Trails is the place to go! Slopes for all levels of experience and the famous Mt. Kepler Ski Lodge.
Saturday Night Dead is a weekly showing of horror films brodcastwd by local resident Ned Chicane from his shop the Cryptonomica, because we are in the National Radio Quiet Zone we have a good bit of local broadcasting! It’s a fun time for a night in if you like horror films.
Do you know if The Hornets are accepting members??
Visit Kepler has no official connection with the Hornets but If you practice hard and prove your skills at Mt. Kepler you might be able to! We’ll be rooting for you!
Did you guys hear about the train that almost crashed into town????
Yes, we’re very lucky no one was seriously hurt. The Mt. Kepler Ski Trails will be closed temporarily while the cause of the crash is investigated and repairs are made.
