My ‘just put it on in the background while I’m on my computer’ show currently is One Tree Hill, so when I’m reading this from the Planeswalker Guide:

Maybe you can understand why I now want a series of stories about mice or frog half brothers who have to learn to get along despite the machinations of their tyrant of a father, who is a… Lilly pad boat salesman? What vehicles do they have in Bloomburrow?

Move gotten super into Marvel Snap recently, and for the first time, pausing from my Pokémon TCG live obsession for the past year as no new interesting decks have come out and I have so much currency there I no longer have that ‘Just got to play one more so I can get X coins/gems/shards/whatever to unlock THING.’

Anyway, my Magic: The Gathering gaming goes back 15 years though, and it takes over sometimes. Case in point: Marvel Snap’s Sunspot (aka Marvel Yellow Lantern) starts with a Power of 1. Power and cost are the only values in Marvel Snap so sometimes Power is used like MtG’s toughness too and can determine whether My Marvel Thing beats Your Marvel Thing in a fight.

I’ve twice hesitated to put Sunspot here out of fear it’s Power would go to 0 and it would die because of state-based-actions and game rules for it having 0 or less toughness.

Vampires and Tokens oh my...

So I cant decided, if I want to make a B/R Vamps deck, or convert my W/U Tokens deck into a B/W token deck. All this awesome stuff coming out in Dark Ascension is just making me ponder what I can do. I have the cards to pretty much role on either deck (not that I couldnt just make both). I have two Liliana's that will go into both, I have three Olivia Volarden's, I am buying a box of Dark so I should get a decent selection of stuff to build on from that. So what is a guy to do? I do know for sure that I will have all kinds of stuff to build into my Olivia EDH Vampire/Burn theme I want to shoot for. Now if only Sorin was not Black white, he would be a perfect fit for the Olivia EDH as well. Either way, I want him for the B/W tokens, hell I may leave it W/U with a splash of isolate chapels just for him, pump all the tokens.

Snapcaster Trade and Rot From Within- 2 for $30, Hello Inkmoth...

Went to my shop where they like to trade and discount stuff for me. I went there with the intent of trading seven cards I had for a Snapcaster Mage. Got it, all it took was a Isolated Chapel, Stromkirdk Noble, 2x Mooreland Haunts, and 2x Endless ranks of the dead. So now, I have 2x Snapcaster Mage. 

While there, I had recently found out that Rot from Within had Inkmoth's in them. So they had two on the shelf, and I got them each for $15, which basically means I bought two Inkmoths and got a bunch of free stuff with them, haha. So yea, now I will be able to run my Wolf Run I had built.

My new combo for my W/U Tokens deck...

So I was sitting here playing around with my deck thinking about what I could change up in it. I had been toying around with the idea of using Geist of Saint Traft in place of my Blade Splicers. So I decided to try it. In the process I thought, hmm, what about taking out two of my four drops, i.e Hero's, and putting in two Angelic Destiny's. Whats that, oh I just enchanted my Geist with Angelic, 6/6 hexproof, first strike, flying, and pumps out a 4/4 flying angel? YES' SIR. I actually got to pull the combo out several times in the free standard tournament I went to. I went 2-1, stupid homebrew of a POD deck beat me in the last round, can't counter pod creatures. But all in all, I was happy with the way the new build worked. I think i am going to leave it as is now and just see how it plays.

Free MTG Standard tourny...Third Garruk, Relentless..

So one of the stores I've been playing at, just to shake things up, offered a free Standard tournament where each round gave out a promo to the winner of the round. I won two rounds, got a Auramancer and Curse of the Bloody Tome promos. I also bought packs while there, pulled a third Garruk, Relentless. Not to bad, Innistrad has been pretty good to me. I have had some good pulls and been able to trade for stuff to build my collection. Now do I want to trade Garruck or keep him around...
