At last, I can play cheap combat trick central in my favorite format! Oh all my ...
An anecdote, if you will indulge me, friends. I first started playing MTG around 4 years ago during my freshman year of college. That first year and a half or so I spent in blissful ignorance of such things as formats, competitive card evaluation, buying of singles, and so on. I traded with friends and put together janky ass decks like there was no tomorrow. It was in this time I developed my tendencies of aggressive pay and my love of red and white, especially together. This did not, however, manifest in traditional aggro decks for a long time yet to come. No, I developed among my friends a reputation. What sort of reputation, you ask? The sort that always left them sitting there as I smiled coyly across the table with mana open thinking “I know this bitch has another combat trick, she must, but I have no choice” followed by rage as they get blown out again. Angels, soldiers, heroic creatures, the occasional aura, and especially combat trick type instants. They were my first loves. Fast forward to now and here we are, my old love finally has an outlet in my favorite format with a character that I have wanted a card for since I learned she existed. I cannot wait.
