Playing around with MtG Set Editor to create some mock ups of cards based on the characters of my Magic fan fiction. Hopefully I’ll find the time to create some artwork to fill them, or the money to commission other more talented artists to do it for me.
Feedback is welcome, especially in regards to balancing. I tried to keep their abilities and costs feasible, but if there are any ways to improve them I’d be grateful for the feedback.
A question for anyone who uses Set Editor: I’m trying to make this mechanic:
Unrelenting X (Whenever this creature attacks, put X +1/+1 counter(s) on it at the end of combat.)
The problem being that I have no idea how to add or remove the pluralisation for the +1/+1 counters when X is 1 or greater. Like, “put A +1/+1 COUNTER” should change to “put 2 +1/+1 COUNTERS”.
So Gideon is technically a one-drop planeswalker. What an interesting design space that I’m sure none of us have tried to explore yet. *Side-eyes other indie designers*
