This new magic card really is getting me
snowie Comics - Chapters 8 & 9 [Double chapter]: MTG Nights (Part 1) & MTG Nights (Part 2) Original release date: Monday July 19th 2021
From what I recall about @wizards_magic , this is a pretty solid card. #dnd #MTGDND https://www.instagram.com/p/CRsM8XurNlU/?utm_medium=tumblr
I was going through your blog (nothing new on my dash ) and i really like your praetor for dnd, thanks for that ! I hope you continue the cycle (Elesh <3)
oh yeah! don't worry, I'm def planning to! Just got a bit sidetracked because of phyrexia dnd preparation (we're now doing intrigue in lumengrid and met tezzeret, really exciting stuff) and work.
this actually reminds me that i really want to work on one right now, so expect something soon 👀👀
i also have their stat blocks as monsters (plus a lot of other homebrew new phyrexia content i'm using for the campaign including a planeshift) i might share
Unboxing stream later tonight? #dnd #MTGDND https://www.instagram.com/p/CRt9TkJr5aB/?utm_medium=tumblr
A MTG/DND homebrew
So, one of my roommates has convinced me to start working on a mtg themed dnd system, so far, it looks like:
Players can be of any race so long as WOTC has not explicitly stated that that race cannot planeswalk.
Swapping stats for affiliation with each mana color which is influenced by race and player stat allocation
Checks are based off of how a color would handle a situation: Red for feats of emotion, blue for knowledge etc. However, if a color could do a thing as a secondary or tertiary aspect, they could get half or a third(fourth so its a quadratic decline maybe?) of a bonus or perhaps all together if there were a solution that fit in that color combo's philosophy
Spells are based off of your affiliation to that color similarly to checks
And that's all currently. I'm going to be posting to #mtgdnd if you guys want to follow progress! Hopefully I can make this crossover work and secure a job at WOTC
Let me know if you have any input!
