Temple of the Dead by Steve Prescott
Mavren Fein & Vona de Iedo (2022)
Mavren and Vona are my favourite dynamic duo from Ixalan. I kind of got Team Rocket vibes from them in the original story. Now they're bitter political rivals. I'm excited to see how this will play out.
I really enjoyed the art in Wilds of Eldraine but holy SHIT Caverns of Ixalan looks AMAZING
I love her I N F I N I T E L Y
Incidentally this card, like every Huatli card, embodies an under-appreciated archetype of RGW color alignment—the interest in human unity of GW, infused with R’s artistic passion!
We want to know what you think of The Lost Caverns of Ixalan in our latest survey! Check it out and help shape what we're working on at Wizards!
Some Zelda Phantom Hourglass map tokens for the upcoming MtG set Lost Caverns of Ixalan.
Anyone else find this confusing?
Two different mechanics, in the same set, with names that are practically the same, but that have no mechanical connection to one another. Like, "if you descended this turn" has no rules connection to "descend 4."
I know that Descend is an "Ability word" and not an actual ability in rules terms which means the rules can't refer to it, but it still seems like they should either be more connected or one of them should have a different name.
