Oh my fucking god issue 15 of mtmte just broke my heart
FREAKIN OVERLORD
IF YOU WEREN’T ON THE LOST LIGHT ALL THIS TRAGEDY WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED. But I will make a list of tidbits I thought were giving me feels from issues 14-16
So those two miners died from his spark radiation? That sucks!
Freakin Pipes!!! He put so much strength into that to give everyone the warning
Ratchet wanted Whirl to have back hands again!!! He put Whirl in his will basically!
MAGNUS!!! Rodimus just lost so much self control that moment!
Fort Max finally got his rage out!!!
Domey and Rewind feels!
Brainstorm you care so much for Chromedome!
REWIND GAVE ME SO MANY FEELS
Gaahhh precious Tailgate no!
And in total: IMMA MURDER PROWL! HE’S THE START OF ALL THIS!
my husband will tell you that this is the exact panel at which I shut the comic, stared at the wall for a moment, then launched the book across the room yelling “FUCK THIS COMIC I SWEAR TO GOD.”
It’s a testament to the powerful writing, incredibly complex and nuanced character development and subtle but brilliant building of relationships that, even though Chromedome has fucked up hugely, and even though this situation is in large part his own doing, my heart still hurts for him at this moment.
i think what kills me the most....and there are a hell of a lot of things that kill me about this sequence...is that they can’t hear each other, and so never get to say goodbye.
SO much crueller in hindsight
I think about this sometimes.
It’s probably just intended as an illustration of how much Rung has seen and experienced, and the lessons he’s learned through observing and understanding other people. But I sometimes wonder what kind of things he’s learned to forgive, and how.
(The power of sincere apology & forgiveness is shown very clearly here and that means a lot to me.)
get your mind out of the gutter, Brainstorm.
(Seriously though, his total enthusiasm for this godawful project is slightly terrifying.)
