I can't help but notice the similiarties in Brainstorm's, Getaway's, and Ammo's heads. Especially Getaway's and Brainstorm, but among other things all three have faceplates instead of faces, and the first two's are almost identical.
What do they have in common? They're M.T.Os, Autobot cold-constructs who were mass-produced during the war. In IDW1 a transformer becomes an adult at two weeks old, but M.T.Os were given a ten-step education an then sent to war. Steps were removed until there was no education and eventually they were dropped into battle within an hour of being born. So, mass-produced baby soldiers.
The only other Autobots confirmed to be M.T.Os actually seen on-page were Dipstick and Riptide who, well, didn't look like Getaway and Brainstorm and even had faces. But they could have modded like Brainstorm who pretended to be forged, and it also bears to mention these bots all have different altmode types.
And it'd make sense for mass-produced robots to be built in factories and look the same. So what if Getaway's and Brainstorm's frames were the car/flying Autobot M.T.O molds, if not through the entire war then at some point during it?
