Ya know, one thing that would kinda suck about being sparked without getting pregnant is that it probably wouldn't stop your period. (Although I would admittedly take the periods over pregnancy any day.)

Scenario- Sparked

Riptide x Reader

• This is some next level bullshit. It’s not like you completely understand all the alien nonsense that came with choosing one of them as a partner, but when you’d found out you were sparked, you’d had no idea what to expect. And your giant spouse hadn’t exactly been that helpful. Making it apparent that he’s just as clueless as you are. But you’d assumed that weird, alien energy pregnancy would be sort of similar to a normal pregnancy. Though you can only really sense the new spark when you’re actively in contact with Riptide’s spark. Curling into a tighter ball as another cramp hits, you press your face into a pillow and groan. Because this? It’s not fair. You shouldn’t be sort of pregnant and on your period at the same damn time.

• Venting nervously because you scent of blood again, he knows you tend to be irritable with him when this happens. Remembers the first time. The immediate panic that had gripped him because he’d thought you were dying. Still doesn’t quite understand your alien biology, but after you’d gotten short with him when he’d asked you to elaborate, he’d written it off as humans being weird and indecipherable. Because what bleeds when it’s not injured? Humans apparently. Watching you shudder and burrow deeper into your nest of blankets, he wonders if he should offer you chocolate. Someone else had said that stuff is about the only way to placate an upset, bleeding human. But you usually just get angrier when he tries to give you some. Even if you eat it anyway.

• “I can feel you staring at me and I swear if you bean me in the face with a Hershey’s bar again, I’ll rip out your wiring with my teeth,” you threaten and you hear him moving around. Probably moving out of reach if you had to guess. Don’t know who he’s been talking to, but if you had to guess, it’s another alien. Because he’s started throwing chocolate bars at when you’re on your period. He’s also tried to drag you into the wash stall to try and ‘help speed things along.’ While you appreciate that he cares, you don’t feel good right now and you definitely don’t exactly feel sexy. ‘I wasn’t going to,’ he mutters, but you hear the crinkle of paper and guess he’s subspacing the candy he was about to throw at you.

• “Do you want to-” He begins and you pull a pillow over your head which he supposes is probably a no. Plating clamping tighter against his frame, he feels like he should do something. He just has no idea what. And you groan loudly as his servos flex. Clearly miserable. Moving restlessly in your blankets until he rumbles. Before deciding that it’s worth risking your threat of violence and climbing up on his berth to mass shift. ‘I swear,’ you growl as he eases down at your back and wraps an arm over you, pushing his own field out and whatever you were going to say falls away as he takes the pain.

• Feel him shudder at your back as the discomfort gets muted and he presses his face against the back of your neck, you go still. What is he doing? Taking a shuddering breath as relief has you relaxing against him, his rumbling sinks into you. Could he have done whatever this is the whole damn time? Want to reach back and smack him if so, but you also don’t want to move in case he stops whatever he’s doing. “Thanks,” you mutter and he nods against your back, big frame faintly trembling. Before shakily reaching around you and pressing a wrapped candy bar against your face as you snort. What is with him and the chocolate bars when you’re on your period?

it may have taken me two months but the giveaway art is finally here 🥳

i wanted to do as many of these as i could, a lot of people asked for TFA characters that i am not familiar with so i didn't draw them, i should just crack and watch it to avoid this problem in the future
