Tell me more about cybertronian cults 👀
Oughh I feel like there's a lot of cult potential in Transformers, especially considering how big of a theme religion often is and the various stressful pressures of the war and *gestures vaguely to all of pre-war Cybertron*
Especially in continuities with a lot of energy around the factions as an identity and with lots of mecha being separated from others by vast distances of space
Of course I think a Unicron cult could be huge, especially in continuities with such an emphasis on him being Primus's ultimate counterpart, and I am just itching to give Blip's failed sparkeater cult another chance (especially considering the almost mythical energy around sparkeaters in MTMTE and LL...)
Not to mention situations like with Steeljaw in rid15 with the Pack where someone tries to revive their own little section of the faction after the war with so many mecha left wandering in the aftermath. (One can make such a plot about someone gathering up the decepticons 2.0 after the war is over to try and conquer Earth for themselves)
I just think it could be interesting, and in such a long lived species stuck in constant situations there's a lot of possibilities.
And I think, given a few kilovorns to fester and some isolation, they could get SO BAD :D
