Day 30 of my 30-day drawing challenge! I made it!!

I had to finish with Fei Liu, I adore this kid.

I'm not necessarily going to stop (if nothing else, this sketchbook still has 50-odd blank pages) but I'll probably vary a little more and stop pressuring myself to do it every day. But it was a great experience.

i love that nihuang did one of the single meanest things ever to mei changsu in the show (took him to lin manor) and then spent the rest of the show ready to throw hands with anyone who even looked at him funny. she went from sad to gleefully protecting her sickly bf in like five hot seconds. she was SO EXCITED to swoop in with her army to rescue him at the spring hunt and was ready to deck a prince in broad daylight for being mean to him. she showed up to the almost-rebellion meeting in full battle armor. xia jiang is lucky she was out of town when he arrested mcs because she would have shown up with all 100k of her troops and a wall of cannons (yes i know there weren't cannons yet i don't care she would have invented them if she needed to) and flattened the place. she would have tossed mcs over her horse and then dragged xia jiang through the streets behind it. rip to mcs's self-destructive plans, she doesn't have time for that shit. 'oh but the emperor would have had her killed for treason!' wrong. she is now the empress. good luck bitches

imagine you are so in love with someone that even after they die, you are still faithful to them and never have a normal relationship ever again because it feels like cheating. but then 12 years later, you meet a new person and even though you don’t want to, you start falling in love with them. 

but you’re still very faithful to your first love, and can’t help feel like you’re cheating them both by doing this. you’re insulting their memory by falling in love with someone else, and you’re insulting this person by seeing your dead love in them all of the time. you even think every once in a while that they might be the same person. but they aren’t, and it’s not fair for you to even think that.

this is driving you absolutely insane. you don’t know what to do or what to feel. and then, by some extremely stupid and ridiculous twist of fate, it turns out that they ARE the same person and that they have been lying to you all along in an attempt to stop you from getting attached. except that they underestimated your ability to be the world #1 champion in faithful monogamous romantic relationships.

I come with you hoping that this fandom isn't as dead as Mei Changsu (ಥ_ಥ still not over it), and with a little project I've had in mind for a few years.

What you see up top are postcards, shittily scanned as they are in reality of truly great quality, like it's crazy how shitty my scanner is I'm shocked. They're truly beautiful and not pixelized I swear! I received these when I ordered the Nirvana in Fire books a few years ago and I've never found any use to them, so why not use them now!?
