It makes sense to me. Dean rarely, if ever, has asked directly for help in an RP - so it's gotta be something royally fucking him up and the possessing force sure ain't gonna let Jemma go help.
So Dean slipping into a fire/vat of acid/bleeding out/whatever as Jemma is forced to watch and unable to do anything because possessed makes sense for me
