   some excellent points brought up in the grinch tag(s) recently:

what the fuck happened to him when he was a little kid and ran off to mount crumpit? did no one bother looking for him? did they just assume he died of exposure? did he hide when they tried to look, or deliberately drive them off? did they just decide he was a monster and that there was no hope for him?

kind of weird that grinch didn’t even question how cindy knew so much about him, especially his past with martha may. did he just assume that it was common knowledge at this point that she liked him and that he thought he might’ve liked her back? did it just not register in his head that this was strange?

the only reason grinch crashed that little car he stole during the whobilation was because he didn’t want to hit a baby carriage ... h

does grinch pay taxes? i mean, he has a mailbox ...

the book of who is implied to be a book of bylaws, but the grinch is mentioned in it repeatedly. the grinch & augustus are the same age, which implies that someone of political power ( i wonder who? ) decided to add grinch to their book of laws as something that needs to be rejected & avoided. that’s fucked up!

i’m thoroughly convinced that augustus is also the one who started the myth that grinch is a lot more dangerous than he really is and that he eats children. of course grinch isn’t going to try arguing against it, either; not only does that ensure more people will leave him alone, he also understands no one would believe him if he tried to prove otherwise.

there are so many layers to the veth/yeza marriage ... they were each other's first loves ... he was the only person who was kind to her ... she sacrificed herself to save him & their son ... she came back different ... she came back better ... she came back as someone who knows now that she could have more , who wants more & it kills her that so much love & stability isn't enough for her anymore but she tries so so so hard to make it enough . no matter what she wants . no matter who she wants . & it's not just caleb , but he's a huge part - the second love of her life & the first was luc . & i love yeza . i really think that he loves veth so much & he's so obviously aware of how much she needs to be able to do certain things now but he's still so also like longing for that stability again . that certainty of their relationship that just isn't there any more.
