I just did something stupid. I took a bus across town and walked home. Now, I could use the exercise, but I underestimated how far away the bus stop was; I thought it was 3 miles, turns out it was closer to 5. Texas may be experiencing subarctic conditions right now, but here in Florida we don’t have “winter,” so it’s about 85 degrees in the shade. I just walked five miles in the middle of the day with only one bottle of water. I’m lucky I didn’t pass out from heat stroke. I am very out of shape. Oh, I’m sure normal people do this all the time, but this was an extreme for me.
I could probably do this again, I just need to plan ahead better. Do it in the evening, bring more water, wear clothes that breathe, etc
