@muddledbloodlines sent a transmission : "I just..." Armitage heaved a sigh under his breath— he knew well enough he wasn't exactly undeserving of the treatment he was receiving surrounded by people who he'd hurt one way or another, but it was still wearing him down. It was almost easier when he was stuck in the cell and mostly left alone unless someone decided to try and question him. Or make him take care of himself, which was even more annoying, "I just wish I could get away from here for a while." It was selfish, and he knew that— but he knew he could confide to Ben about it, too.
THERE WAS NO NEED FOR BEN TO BE extremely attuned to the Force to being able to pick up on the way people felt, even more so in moments like those, when it was rather easy to sense the way what the other was feeling seemed to roll off of him in waves, making the air around the both of them just that much heavier. But he didn’t question it, didn’t push it, if the other wanted to talk he would have done so, it was something he had learned quite a while back. His attention was brought to Armitage the moment he heard him speaking, hazel hues settling on him as he kept quiet, waiting for him to keep going, but there was no hiding the way curiosity subtly shifted his expression.
Oh. So that was what had been going on, Ben’s expression softened, there was understanding behind his gaze. Perhaps, he might not know exactly how it felt but there was no denying that It wasn’t easy, living with the shadow of the past constantly looming over one’s head. And if there was something Ben could do to help dissipate it, if only for a short while, well, he would have been damned if he didn’t try at least.
❝ My ship has been ready to take off for the past two days. ❞ A raise of his brow followed his words when he finally spoke. He knew his own words could almost be considered random blabbing, he was aware of that, but he believed the other man could easily read between the lines. ❝ And it’s getting boring here. ❞ Not entirely true, given how he found himself enjoying the moments spent with the other. He let the silence surround the both of them once again, expectant gaze on Armitage. ❝ So ? ❞ A hum, the corner of his mouth twitching, the begging of a slight smirk pulling at it. It was an obvious and yet unspoken suggestion, one that Ben wasn’t known to offer to anyone, hell, he could barely remember the last time such idea ever crossed his mind.
