@katschy tagged me to show off my last-used mug and I present it here!
It’s from a local pottey place (is there a noun for such a thing, not sure), Ballydougan Pottery. I love it’s curvy shape and cute blue flower.
Tagging @eavidreader @improfem @kalikatze @letsgetmetaphysical-physical @crystaljewls @thefandombasement and anyone else who’d like to show off the mugs!
Mug Club Game Post ☕
I hope you were all prepared to learn about my novelty mug collection that I love dearly. This is a SMALL portion that doesn't even include some of my favorites. I LOVE novelty mugs. They're the best gift. Thank you for offering me the chance to show off @lostinfantasies38 and @fasterpuddytat.
My number one favorite at the moment is this one. Gift from my mother and it's the perfect size. Not too big, not too small.
I was taught the phrase at work "not my circus not my monkeys" seven years ago and fell in love with it. I often tell this phrase to my mother when she complains about my brother. When she found this mug at a coffee shop she said she had to purchase it for me.
All my other favorite mugs in no particular order:
Show me your mug and I'll tell you who you are...
Thanks to @altschmerzes for showing her mug, it may explain the title of her wonderful fic, True North
About me, I have 2, one at work the other at home, guess which one is ?
And like @altschmerzes, I won’t tag anyone in particular but would love to see your mugs if you wanna show them off and tag me as your nominater ;)
MUG TAG
@lostinfantasies38 tagged me, and Icollect mugs, so you have no idea how excited this made me. MY TIME HAS COME
My Tenzing Momo mug. Tenzing Momo is the witchy store in Pike Place Market, and this mug is pretty big, so I had to get it.
Picked this bad boy up during a quarantine yarn run at Jo-Ann's. It's supposed to be a wine tumbler, but I like it for water. Somehow it's easier to drink a bunch of small cups of water instead of looking at one big one and feeling overwhelmed. Plus, shiny rainbow!
Saw this beauty at Starbucks during the holidays and had to have it. It reminds me of unicorns with that pearly-white iridescence. Doesn't hold a lot, but I feel all mystical when I drink from it.
A Dollar Tree find! I love the squarish shape, and it actually holds a nice amount of drink. Definitely worth the extra dollar I spent on that trip.
My hillbilly wine glass. You take a glass candleholder and glue a Mason jar on top of it. An old friend made it, and I painted the base.
A basic mug, yes, but I got it to support my very very local coffee shop. It's the third coffee shop that's been in that particular storefront, and it's the only one that's deserved to stick around. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES
My everything cup. It's not *really* a mug--it's a very tall Mason jar with a jar-lid-straw attachment, but I use it daily. I crocheted the coozie because I can't not crochet shit. It had iced coffee in it when I took this picture.
I used to have more mugs, some really interesting and unique ones, but... shit happened. And I don't really have a lot of space to get more mugs right now. But these are my current favorites!
Not gonna tag anyone cause my brain always draws a blank when I'm supposed to. Plus, everyone I could tag is mutuals with each other, so I figure they'll get tagged eventually.
