Mugenbine Gattai Teiouryu.

I really like everything about this one. The "stand alone" robot mode doesn't feel cheap, the dragon is fucking awesome... and then the bike mode. Holy shit, that bike mode. Every "vehicle" up to this point has contained the mugenroid, so this was a radical (and... radical) departure from form.

Mugenbine — Mugen Pirate

The terror of galactic deep sea-space, Mugen Pirate! Comprised of Mugen Captain, Mugen Stingray, Mugen Shark, Mugen Scissors, Mugen Kraken, and Mugen Whale. Mugen Pirate is the tallest of the Mugenbine / Mugen Saga figures I own. He’s extremely possible and has a two faces - a skull face and a humanoid face, which is an extra nice touch for a toy already based on customization.

I’m playing around with some of the Mugenbine bots I’ve recently obtained.  An auction I won recently had Chase Dober and Tri Wolf together, and I didn’t quite realize that they’re basically the exact same set when I bought them.  Chase Dober has a number of gray multipurpose bineparts that let you form a bigger robot with him, but that’s about it for differences.   At first, I was a little disappointed, because I wanted a greater width of parts to experiment with, but now I think I’ve figured out something fun I can do using their similarities.  Taking a book out of GaoGaiGar’s ChoRyuJin, I combined the two same-but-different canine-bots in one super mode that I’m calling DoberWolf - Two Wolves, in honor of the “You Have Two Wolves Inside You” meme.

Mugen Saga — Mugen Pharaoh

Comprised of Mugen Anubis, Mugen Sphinx, Mugen Ra, Mugen Sebek, and Mugen Scorpion comes the Mighty Mugen Pharaoh!!! The first Mugen Candy Toy I purchased to see what it was like. It impressed me so much that I had to start collecting the others! (which is how bad collecting habits form).

Mugen Pharaoh is slightly larger than Mugen Arthur, and just looks super cool. The way they designed him screams, “must have!” And it’s best to preorder the Mugen series because they tend to be more expensive on the secondary market after their release.
