2007 J.K. Rowling said that
Harry Potter would NOT be released in e-book.
2020 Harry Potter is released in e-book.
Should JK Rowling be #cancel cultured due to something she said thirteen years ago that turned out to be a lie?
The Final Straw (MuggleNet.com)
"... just because we’re fans doesn’t mean we can’t be critical."
An article written by a long time fan of Harry Potter.
When Pottermore was announced in 2011, it was presented as a “thank you” to the fans. In the original announcement, Jo said, “I wanted to give something back to the fans that have followed Harry so devotedly over the years.”
(Now) Rowling is asking fans to shell out nine dollars total for two or three new stories… which should have appeared on Pottermore in the first place if the site lived up to its promise.
So it rubs me all kinds of wrong ways that Jo now wants to take the content that was meant to be “giving back to the fans,” and put it behind a paywall to support the financially-flailing Pottermore.
Well, sorry Jo, but no thank you. I am aware that I am not entitled to anything from my favorite authors. However, when said author purports to give me a gift of bonus content, and then years later asks that I pay for it, that is simply obnoxious.

Potter-GO! (Pokemon-GO + Harry Potter Parody Mashup) ⚡️🔴🤓 Gotta cast 'em all!
The Official beasts list for the movie has been released! The film will be including: “Ashwinder: A pale serpent created from the embers of a magical fire if allowed to burn unchecked. You really don’t want them to lay eggs. Lethifold: Particularly deadly. Looks like a dark cloak that glides along the ground and then suffocates its victims in their sleep. Augurey: You’ve seen a phoenix before. This is the green-black Irish version, and its mournful cry signals it’s about to rain … or foretells your death. One of those. Bowtruckle: A hand-sized stick-like creature that’s difficult to spot and usually lives in trees (which it will violently defend). This particular one lives in Newt’s pocket. Crup: A wizard-bred dog with a forked tail that resembles a Jack Russell Terrier. Very loyal and will eat just about anything (so a bit like a dog then). Merpeople: Rowling previously put a ferocious spin on the classic underwater-dwelling humanoid sea creatures.” -http://www.mugglenet.com/2015/11/the-beasts-of-fantastic-beasts/
Tumblr, help me find this fanfic!
I don't know what it was called, but it was posted on MuggleNet and was about Blaise Zabini's mother. It was entirely her dialogue, no one else's, and no description, and it was really good.
If you don't know it, please signal boost!
