"Ace? You're not looking so great..." Lu mumbled, gently placing her hand on his forehead. The back of her hand hissed from the touch. Was he sick?! "You're warmer than usual... Are you okay Ace?! Uhm, you should lay down and I'll get you something for that... Sanji'll make something to make you feel better, okay? Hang in there!"

“’m fine, Lu. Just a lil’ tired...” he mumbled, laying on his side as he tried to sleep. His narcolepsy prevented that though, like so many other times he’s tried to get rest.

“’m just.. warm ‘cause o’ mah flames. ‘s nuthin’ t’ worry ‘bout.”

Hi! Sorry it took some time and it’s so short, but I wasn’t inspired much. I made Law said the sentence because it didn’t fit Luffy in my opinion (for the idea I had) so I hope you don’t mind ;)

Luffy hadsaid that he could be romantic after one of Law's remark abouthe-didn't-remember-what, he just knew he had said that the thing wasromantic, more than Luffy could ever get, and it really hadn't been acompliment. Law didn't know what he had expected out of it, but maybehe hadn't thought he couldn't be more right when he had teased Luffy.

The meal wasburnt. Law had known that Luffy couldn't cook, but he had takenincompetence in a kitchen to a whole new level. At least he hadtried, Law told himself, but the smell in the flat was too awful tomake it okay.

Then theflowers he had picked up – seriously, flowers? – were either deador being eaten by bugs, and Luffy had tried to take them off and nowthey were flying across the room, and Law had to deal with them,choking on repellent products as well burnt food.

Law openedthe windows and took Luffy out the flat.

“Neveragain,” Law grunted as he scratched his arm, now aching.

“Torao,”Luffy pouted. “I still have to take you to the cinema.”

Lawconsidered the offer then told himself that nothing could go wrong,right? “Okay, I'm following.”

Of coursesomething would go wrong. It was Luffy, trying to prove that he couldbe romantic, things just couldn't happen as planned.

“I didn’tthink you could get any less romantic...” Law found himself sayingas they were on the line for a horror movie because Luffy had checkedthe wrong hours and the romantic film he had wanted to go with Luffyhad started an hour ago. But as long as they were here, they couldwatch a film.

It justwasn't romantic. At all.

“Are youscared?” Luffy grinned, avoiding an answer to Law's statement.

“I'll showyou how to do that properly, one day,” Law smiled, finding Luffycute despite all.

And he hadtried, he guessed that was the most important thing. At least the evening had been fun, in a way.

He was certainly looking feverish and his energy supply was at an all-time low. But he didn’t want to worry his sister hence why he was keeping up the act. To the best of his ability, that is.

“Lu’... m’fine. Really.” Ace closed his eyes, already looking several years old due to exhaustion. He believed that if he could just get some sleep, he’d be fine. “Just... need to...” He trailed off, breathing lightly as he laid there.
