Not all heroes wear capes | Closed Rp

Zombieman was... for lack of a better term, lazy.
Sure, he was an amazing fighter, but He’d rather let the monsters come to him rather than exert the energy to go after them.
Of course, there were always exceptions to that. Sometimes, seeking out the monster was the only option.
Such was the case today, when he’d heard the creature roar, closely followed by a civilian's scream.
He’d ran through the streets, searching each alleyway as he went, (and dropping the cigarette from his lips in the rush) until he found the monster. Some large beast with the body of a lizard, and head of a snake, looking for a snack no doubt.
And by the sight of things, he’d found what he’d hoped to be his next meal. Not on Z’s watch!
“Oi’ Slithers!” He smirked, stomping on the monster’s tail to further get his attention. “You made me drop my light. Besides, pretty sure I’d be much bigger a meal than the girl, yes?”
Sure enough, the monster moved lightning fast, and clamped its jaws around Zombie’s arm before he could blink.
“Ack! Seriously! I just got this one back!” He cried out in annoyance, feeling huge, gator-like teeth snap the bone. He barely cringed, the pain only coming as a dull ache to him.
With the monster falling for the bait, Zomb used his free arm to grab his ax off his back, and with one strong chop, hit the monster in the head with the blade, ending it’s existence instantly.
The lizard... snake...thing, fell to the ground with a thud, Zombieman’s severed arm still in it’s jaws.
“Looks like it’s time for a new coat again...” The hero sighed, a new arm already almost fully regenerated. Once it was, he made his way past the creature to the girl, kneeling down beside her.
“You’re safe now, Miss, I’m with the hero association. Are you injured?” He asks, keeping a gentle tone. He reached out to touch her shoulder with his new arm. His skin was a pale gray, rather than full of life, and his eyes were a bright crimson. To be honest, he looked like a vampire that’d stepped outta some teenage novel, rather than a hero.
“I won’t hurt you. I promise. I’m here to help.”

I often happen to work in the slums of #kibera #mathare and sometimes #mukuru In all this areas, I have always observed the same attitude and and enthusiasm towards life. People from all this slums are always working towards a better tomorrow. It's 5pm here, that usually means close or business. Pictured here are two ladies and a gentlemen leaving work after what seems to have been good day judging from their faces. -------—---------------------- © Anwar Sadat @sirdart_ 8/2019 || Mathare, Nairobi ------------------------------- #photography #documentaryphotography #documentary #reportagespotlight #reportage #sirdartphotography #sirdart #streetsansfrontieres (at Mathare Nairobi) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4kyPZwpQR-/?igshid=j717d1006nzx
