在iOS 8仍未推出之前，網上就一早流傳出Apple計劃為iPad加入多屏操作的功能，以讓擁有大屏幕的iPad可以同一時間開啟多個App進行操作。此傳言直至iOS 8正式推出後被終結，令到不少人大失所望。不過，事出必有因，如今再度有新消息傳出，Apple確實正在進行相關功能開發中。
