Multicore series 18 - Dead Cells
dead cells might be one of the games ive sunk the most time into, over the longest period of time. bought it and all its dlc twice, once on switch, then again on steam, and dumped a ton of hours on each version. anyway, the thing i remember wowing me the most in dead cells was fighting the time keeper for the first time. i remember that, at the time, it was the most fun i had fighting a boss; having to constantly move out of the way and look at what tk was doing and her teleporting around the arena was unlike anything ive seen prior. my experience with bosses before this was limited pretty exclusively to platformer bosses, like the concierge for example, so my little baby brain was BLOWN
Multicore series 25 - Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
my absolute favourite game of all time, Hotline Miami 2. at first, i didn't think much of the series, but after being encouraged to 100% both games, i fell in love with it completely. from the gameplay, to its developement, i adore every single part of this game. the way you can to navigate each level tickles my brain in a way no other game does, and its unforgiving nature forces you to learn the game inside out to perform well. every developer ever wants their game to work perfectly as intended, but buggy behaviour can lead to deep, expressive gameplay, allowing you to form strategies no one would ever even imagine. Hotline Miami 2 does this perfectly, and i genuinely can't imagine how one would improve upon what it does. there's so much i can talk at length about with this game, i don't even know where to start. i don't know what kind of game it would take to dethrone this one from my number 1 spot. it'll always be one of my main inspirations, in anything i make. i urge everyone to give this game a shot, i know i have.
hey, the series is over. If you want to see the rest, all conveniently in one place, why not check it out on my website! I put a fair amount of time to make it look absolutely perfect, just click here to check it out!
Multicore series 20 - Titanfall 2
the absolute best deathmatch shooter, and it doesnt even come close. having to master both titan and pilot movement and routing, matchups and so on is just amazing. everything feels nice to control when youre just starting out, but it only gets better and more fluid as time goes on. ronin might be my favourite execution of fps melee combat, where youre a pick class that focuses on pilots to build ult while also working well as a 1v1 powerhouse or general support class. fighting every titan differs dramatically, and i love it for that. as for pilot, cloak with low profile + kraber/epg/wingman feels soo satisfying to play its unreal. and thats not even talking about the movement! being developed on the source engine gives it so much depth the devs might not have anticipated that allows you reach lightning fast speeds alongside having some weight behind your character feels just right. my aim also used to be garbo but thanks to titanfall being so relentless in its time to kill helped me a ton with that
Multicore series 5 - Left 4 Dead 2
can you tell i like arcade style games yet
