The STATE, in the form of political leaders, police, are very skilled in performing using the media as both a platform and a megaphone--the bully pulpit as it is sometimes called.
The first video here is the WHOLE speech that the Rev Wright (Obama's preacher) gave. But only the part about "God Damn America" was circulated by the media during Barack’s first run for the presidency. If you listen to the whole speech, you'll probably agree with most of what the Rev is actually saying (of course, there are some who never will, but we're rational, fact-based people.)
Bush's first speech after 9/11 was actually healing and unifying, but the state switches roles very easily, just like putting on a mask. My favorite political speech in all of these is by the PM of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern. That, to me, is what leadership performance looks like.
NOW. some of the later videos are what I would classify as Mediated Murder by the State. Sadly, these circulate on mainstream media over and over again, without care for how traumatizing it is, or without care for how normalizing it is. It's of course, important that the public be informed about these murders, but probably more important that justice is served than the whole citizenry be exposed to this state-sanctioned violence.
