Arthur had a right to be massively upset, and I found Merlin convincing him to forgive and forget as utterly insensitive, because what right did Merlin have, especially as Arthur’s best friend, to push Arthur to be merciful when she clearly tore open his heart? He was already being as merciful as he could be given the situation! Fans have many reasons to not ship Arwen (namely Merthur), but I seldom see it because of what Gwen actually did, and what Arthur actually knew: that he loved yet couldn’t trust her because he caught her having an affair.
