Clock Town Theme : Nov 23rd, 2011
This is the first part of the Clock Town theme from Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. This was a really fun track to put together, as I pulled out every instrument I owned (except piano, clarinet, recorder, ocarina and chanter) and put the track together on the Garage Band app. The instruments you hear are: Harp, Irish Flute, Low Whistle, Tin Whistle, Bohdran, Windchime, Bell, Triangle. This was the first time I've ever played Bohdran, so I am happy with the effect it had on the song. The timing for the harp is a bit out as I usually record that first, but I recorded it last this time.
Game of Thrones main title theme cover on multi-tracked multiple flutes by Wouter Kellerman. Just listen. He’s good…
Person: I liked your vibes solo with your jazz band at the concert! Are you like a percussionist in the freshman band or something?
Me: No. I play clarinet. In the middle band.

The Submarines / 1940
"I switched from flute, not clarinet, to horn, so my answer is probably not very helpful. Flute does require an embouchure, but it's super relaxed and it's more of the form of your lips than muscles. When I switched to horn, it completely switched to having to use muscles all the time. It ruined my flute embouchure because now I can't fully relax my lips but since I started playing and practicing flute while I'm still playing horn, it keeps both my embouchures from degrading. I would recommend to keep practicing clarinet but focus on horn if that is what you are playing for your main ensemble."
