Why do you use "we" and plural verbs when writing about yourself?
Because we are a plural system. There are several of us in here, and it’s not always clear which of us is talking. Attributing memories can also be awkward, especially when they’re from before our current membership formed. So when it’s unclear, we speak in the plural. Or try to - speaking in singular is a very old habit and not easy to break.

People just don't seem to get how systems work. I'm 18. The body is physically 18. So it would be okay for me to date an adult. However someone who shares the same body is somewhere between 5 and 15 (she ages slides). It would not be okay for her to date an adult. But it also wouldn't be appropriate for her to date anyone her age because the body is physically an adult. People just don't care about systems, and the littles in systems. As if we haven't been traumatized enough.
Of course they don’t. That would require them to actually give a single fuck about ableism and its victims for even a second, and most people aren’t capable of that unless it affects them personally.
Motherfuckers need to learn that a) if you're dating someone in a system you're not always dating the entire systen and b) you need to not be ableist fucks coming after a post that you don't fucking understand.

I'm sorry, I hope this isn't a rude question. I've noticed that with mental illness/disorder stuff you tag it as different headmates (is that the right word?), and I'm just wondering, do different ones of you have different disorders even though you share the same brain/body, or is it that you're tagging based on who's talking? You're more than welcome to ignore this if it's offensive, I really don't know and I'm just hoping to understand a bit better
We tag based on who’s speaking, but yes, our disorders differ. Ayin and Eva are dependent as hell, I’m BPD, and there’s some other messy stuff we haven’t quite figured out going on in there. (For instance, Ayin has something going on that sits in a weird place between Av and SzPD.) Things we all manifest (though with different intensities of different symptoms) include ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression.

Hi. I'm just curious if you could expand on the System/multiple ages thing? I've not been following you for very long, so that whole argument set today suuuuper confused me, and I can't seems to find answers on your 'about' page other than that you're a 'system' and that there might be more than one of you, or something? I'm sorry, I just have no idea what's going on and googling 'system' isn't exactly helpful. Any explanations or pointers for googling would be greatly appreciated.
There are three of us here: Me (SM or Ayin), Ashlyn, and Eva. We share a brain and body, and Ashlyn and I share this blog. Our body is in its early-mid 30s; as I understand, experience, and interact with the world, so am I. However, I am aware that I came into existence in the late summer of 1999. I do have access to some shared memories from the others and from what came before us. Hopefully that clears it up?
