Hello, Could you please explain the difference between ao3 tags 'First Time' and 'Getting Together'. I thought they meant the same thing but noticed few fics containing both tags and now I'm really confused. Thank you. Have a good day! :)

Hmm, I’m not positive, but I think “First Time” could technically have a broader meaning. I guess it could mean that this is a character’s first relationship or they are losing their virginity, or it could mean the same thing as “Getting Together”. I imagine people would use both tags together in order to be more specific about what kind of “First Time” they mean. I think I’ve only ever used it to mean essentially the same thing as “Getting Together”, but then again, half the time I forget what tags I should be using anyway, haha. Some people also use the shotgun approach to tagging, where they throw as many tags as they can think of on a fic even if some of them overlap, just so people are sure to find it if they are browsing by tag.

check out my otp rec list. as for specific fics you’re looking for, use the search option in ao3 to narrow down your search. it helps a lot.

Hi. I started watching Hawaii 5-0 because of the McDanno ship posts from your blog. So I wanted to thank you for introducing this awesome ship to me n others. I was able to only get from S5 and S6. currently on S5 right now. you think I'd miss a lot if I didn't catch earlier seasons? I tried to search but only these two seasons are available in the site I use still I've never started on a show without s1 b4 unless one counts doctor who. so what do u suggest? is it ok to catch d show from s5? xx

considering i stopped watching h50 weekly after season 4, it shouldn’t matter since usually each season and even most episodes are self contained. each season usually has some sideplot that painfully slugs behind each three to four episodes involving steve’s past and a crime boss, it’s pretty formulaic in that respect so it’s a show you can enjoy without needing a lot of exposition. 

the earlier seasons have the team coming together which was a treat. lots of firsts. and less jump the shark writing attempts. but overall, h50 can be viewed without binge watching 4 seasons. tbh, there’s some episodes from the earlier seasons that were badly written that it’s a blessing to skip them

hi, do you know of any older stiles- younger derek fics. I don't mean a de-aged derek but once who is simply younger or maybe same age as stiles. could be bottom derek with protective stiles. I read a college fic with these tags and fell in love with these genre. also stillinski twins with both of them fighting over derek but it ends in sterek with no twincest. thank you xx
